Two Branded Drinks With BRUH In The Starbucks\u00ae Ecosystem<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I’ve been thinking about the weakest piece of real estate in a coffee shop, and it’s the drink that carries the company’s own name. Consistency with nothing to say.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So here’s the thought, and it’s just a thought. Not a claim, not a partnership, not an announcement. If Starbucks wanted to test it, this is what I’d put in front of them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One or two branded drinks, at menu level, with BRUH inside the Starbucks ecosystem. Not a rebrand of the company. Not a new logo on the cup. A named item that gives guests a reason to say the drink out loud and photograph it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The first would sit in “Men Will Be Men.” A section that replaces the generic “For Him” category with something that actually has a point of view, built around strength, emotional intelligence and good conversation rather than the old version of what that phrase used to mean. One signature item to start. The kind of thing a table notices and someone posts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The second would be a lower-stakes one. A phrase that fits the moment after the meeting that went well, or the afternoon that needed rescuing. Something a barista can say without breaking the flow of a shift.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Why this isn’t a conflict. BRUH is my mark, but the ideas being licensed here are phrases used to name a moment, not imitations of anyone else’s brand. Starbucks keeps its name, its menu, its stores and its customers. What it gets is language that does a job at the counter instead of sitting on it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I’m not asking anyone to agree with me. I’m saying the drink named after the company is the least interesting thing on the menu, and the chains that figure out the alternative will get something the rest can’t buy: people repeating their words.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That’s the idea. Take it or leave it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
