I would take ‘L’ over the ‘E’ any day. Would you? You may wonder why I want to ‘Take the L’s.’ Let’s get into it. Shall we?
Being an entrepreneur is one of the easier things to do. Entrepreneurs are springing up all over the world, trying new endeavours.
“Entrepreneurs are many. Longtrepreneurs are few.”
Anyone can start an idea or a business. What matters is someone sticking to it for the long term to leave an impact on communities and the world significantly.
Everything around us is evolving. However, entrepreneurship as a mindset has yet to develop as much as it should have.
You might find it disdainful, but entrepreneurs are movers and shakers of our world; wrong. The Longtrepreneurs make all the difference. Thomas Edison famously said, “It’s 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration.” He was not wrong. He, like many entrepreneurs, started his endeavours to invent the light bulb; doing it a thousand times led him to create the light bulb in his 1,001st attempt finally.
To this tune, Edison is a Longtrepreneur and not just an entrepreneur who started an idea or a business. He persisted over the long term, making him a well-known inventor and an astute businessman.
The ethos behind Longtrepreneur is to tout long-term thinking in one’s personal and professional life. In business life, entrepreneurs should not think of IPOs as the end of life for a company, but they should consider passing the baton to others to run their ‘commercial baby’ with new zest and ideas to propel it to newer heights.
Longtrepreneur is an ‘anti-supreme’ brand which shuns short-term thinking and impulse buying behaviour. Longtrepreneur believes that consumers should live their life with a 70-90 year horizon, doing things for the long-term ranging from shopping and studying to working.
Let’s end on this note: Live in the world as if you will live forever; prepare for your passing away as if you will die at any moment.
